Loading software explained easily - or: You've probably already made this mistake

Hello dear music lovers,

Today Rainer and Dennis explain what the different file types on Yamaha keyboards are all about.

Why do you sometimes see data like registration banks, styles, multipads and songs and sometimes they seem to be missing or disappeared?

What is the file filter, how do you load data into the different sections/departments? This power tip will be particularly helpful for the occasional musicians and beginners among you.

The entire Keyboard Academy team wishes you a lot of fun watching it.

    Hello you two!

This tip really resonated with me as I've had problems with it in the past. It would be very nice if Yamaha thought about showing ALL files no matter where they are in the key. If the file is then clicked or typed, the indication of the wrong area would be early enough. This happened to me a few times when I downloaded something from the Internet in the form of a ZIP file, which was then not visible in the key. No matter what I did, I couldn't see anything even though I was aware that I had copied the file to the USB. Furthermore, if you don't know what is in the direct tori RGT, STY, Midi etc. then something is missing after copying.

Since I really fell on my face when switching from Ty4 to Genos, I put ALL my data on the USB on the bottom. A backup then takes place in the form that I simply plug the USB into the PC and save it with a copy. Then I am sure that I have backed up all the data. Because even a copy of the key could only save the files from the area in which you are located. OK, I'll do a system backup on the key.

    LG+ keeps it up! Hartwig
